Tiger’s Tips to Better Putting

Tiger Woods, for more than 45 years (think about that for a minute), has been one of the best putters in the world. In this GREAT video we found on the interweb, Tiger shares his warm-up routine and green-reading tips, and we get to watch him roll dozens of putts, showcasing one of the purest putting strokes the world of golf has ever seen.

A handful of tips Tiger shares in the video:

  • Think more artisticly, versus robotically
  • Always hit your putts on the center of the face (tee drill)
  • Let the face of the putter release
  • Putt to the picture – putt to the high point of the break
  • Look at your putt from the ball and from the halfway point – this helps you read the full putt

Watch the video, and more than once. Practice Tiger’s tee drill and green reading process on the putting green. And then take what you’ve learned out to course. We will too.
