Cameron Smith’s scores — along with the whole field’s — were ridiculous at Kapalua
Smith struggled on Thursday and Sunday when he only shot 8-under, 65 each day. Shameful. Friday and Saturday he settled down to post a pair of 64s — posting 34-under for the week.
For those of you who have never played Kapalua, the course ain’t that easy. No course on the planet is, including $20 munis.
OBTW – To play Kapalua it will cost you $400 and at least 2-sleeves of balls, that’s if you’re mortal like us and want to play between now and next year’s event.
With benign conditions (pre-tournament rain; not a waft of wind Thurs-Sun), running fairways (crazy long drives all week), and the best talent in the world sans Rory, the field at the TOC made Kapalua their collective show pony for the week.
