Before winning the Zozo PGA TOUR event last week, it’d been a minute since Collin Morikawa had lifted a Big-A Trophy on tour. And by a minute, we mean 2+ years. That’s quite a bit of time in between victories, especially considering he’s a Ryder Cupper and currently ranked top 15 in the world. But on Sunday he put his winless streak to bed, firing a blistering 63 on Sunday which fueled his eventual 6-stroke, come-from-behind victory.
Being the fans of Collin that we are, we tracked down a couple of drills he shared online that help golfers improve their ball striking so they hit more rippers and fewer shi**ers.
1/ Practice a shorter follow-through to improve contact
2/ Practice with a glove under your front armpit to improve with your backswing and stay connected. (We LOVE his use of the lanyard!)
