Eric “Eloh” Lohman, PGA GM, shares three simple drills to hole more short putts

if you’re lacking confidence on the greens or fighting a maddening case of the yips, follow along Eloh’s three simple drills to make more shorties.

These are tried and tested by players of all skill levels. Give them a shot.

  1. Putt with your eyes looking at the hole
  2. Putt with your eyes closed
  3. Putt and keep your head down and your eyes looking at where the ball is at address and not where it’s headed

Give each of these drills a try and see if any stick with you. Personally, I like the drill where I keep my eyes looking down. I focus on making a smooth stroke and not where the ball ends up.

Watch the video. Give these drills a runout on the practice green. And take your new “feels” out to the course.

Thanks Eloh for sharing.
