The Top 5 Winning Putter Models on the PGA TOUR in 2026 (and the full list for you putter junkies)

Golf is a funny game.

We’ll spend $600 on a driver because it promises 4 more yards, $300 on a shaft because someone on YouTube said it will change our life, and approximately $22 on a bucket of range balls trying to figure out why we’re still slicing.

Then we get to the 18th green, add up our scores, and realize the little flat stick determines whether we’re sending or receiving money via Venmo.

The 2026 PGA Tour season provided plenty of evidence that putters matter most—and that the big, beefy mallet is having a moment.

Actually, “a moment” might be underselling it.

This Season’s Top 5 winning putters on the PGA TOUR:

1. TaylorMade Spider Tour X — 11 Wins

The TaylorMade Spider Tour X wasn’t just the winningest putter of 2026. It absolutely ran away with the trophy.

The Spider Tour X accounted for 11 PGA Tour victories, including wins by Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy.

That’s a ridiculous amount of winning for one putter.

The recipe isn’t complicated: high MOI, stability and alignment. In other words, it is designed to make it harder for a slightly bad stroke to become a really bad result.

Which sounds pretty good to the rest of us.

Especially those of us who occasionally hit a putt so far off the center of the face that we’re reminded why playing golf isn’t how we put food on the table.

2. Scotty Cameron Phantom 9.5R Tour Prototype — 3 Wins

The Scotty Cameron Phantom 9.5R Tour Prototype finished with three victories, thanks to Cameron Young and Jackson Koivun. Young used it for wins at the Players Championship and Cadillac Championship, while Koivun added the 3M Open.

It’s part of Scotty Cameron’s popular wing-back mallet family, giving players the combination of stability and the premium feel that has made Scotty Cameron one of the biggest names in putters.

And let’s be honest: there is something psychologically comforting about pulling a Scotty Cameron out of the bag.

Even if you’re three-putting.

At least you’re three-putting with a Scotty. Classy.

3. Bettinardi DASS BB1 — 3 Wins

Here’s the rebel of the group.

While mallets were taking over the Tour, Matt Fitzpatrick kept showing up with a blade—and kept winning.

Fitzpatrick used the Bettinardi DASS BB1 for all three of his 2026 victories.

The BB1 is a classic blade design, but the DASS construction and custom weighting give it the kind of precision and feel demanded by Tour players.

It also carries a price tag that may require a brief conversation with your spouse.

But hey, if it wins three times on the PGA Tour, who’s really going to argue?

4. Ping Scottsdale Tec Ally Blue Onset — 3 Wins

The Ping Scottsdale Tec Ally Blue Onset also collected three victories, all from Wyndham Clark.

Clark’s switch to the Ping helped fuel a monster 2026 season, including his second U.S. Open title. He also used it to win the CJ Cup Byron Nelson and BMW Championship.

The putter features a distinctive alignment system and soft face insert, giving Clark a combination of feel and forgiveness.

And apparently, it works.

Clark even signed a single-club endorsement deal with Ping after his U.S. Open victory—the first such putter-only deal in company history.

Not bad for a putter switch.

5. TaylorMade Spider Tour (Original) — 2 Wins

The original Spider Tour family isn’t exactly ready for retirement, thanks in part to Aaron Rai‘s PGA Championship victory with the Spider Tour V.

The broader Spider family actually accounted for 13 PGA Tour wins in 2026, making TaylorMade’s Spider lineup the dominant putter family on Tour.

So, yes, the Spider is officially everywhere.

Why should we care what the best in the world are putting with?

If you’re detecting a theme here, you’re not imagining it.

Mallets are winning.

TaylorMade’s Spider family accounted for 13 victories. Scotty Cameron had nine. Odyssey and Ping each had six. Bettinardi had three, while L.A.B. Golf picked up one.

But blades aren’t dead. But they are on life support.

Ryan Fox won the Open Championship with a Ping Anser 2D, while Matt Fitzpatrick won three times with his Bettinardi BB1. Fox’s victory was particularly notable because it marked the first men’s major won with a blade-style putter since Bryson DeChambeau’s 2024 U.S. Open victory.

The lesson?

There is no magic putter.

There is only the putter you trust.

Of course, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t buy a new one.

We’re golfers. We were going to buy one anyway.
