5 (extremely) bold predictions for the 2026 PGA Tour season

Per Cameron: Unfortunately, there’s still more than a week to go before the 2026 PGA Tour season begins in Hawaii. Due to The Sentry being canceled, there’s an extra week off for many of the best players in the world before they get to begin 2026 at the Sony Open in Honolulu.

B&B POV: Picking Spieth to win the PGA is more than just a stretch, it’s a full Tiger discectomy. Crazy talk. And picking Tiger to make multiple majors cuts, let alone playing in two majors, crazier talk! We can get behind every other prediction Cameron put out there.

Here’s a big B&B prediction: The PGA TOUR and LIV GOLF will enter into a new agreement this year – one that will lead to one or more “PGA+LIV” events to be played in ’27.

He very well may have been the greatest overall athlete of his generation. Now he’s an ol’ bird who can officially tee it up on the PGA TOUR Champions circuit. Wherever and whenever he plays competitively again, we’ll be tuned in.

Trump Administration Moves to Seize Control of Washington D.C.’s Public Golf Courses

Per Max: National Links Trust (NLT), a nonprofit organization, had a 50-year lease with the National Park Service, signed in 2020, and was tasked with renovating the three courses: Langston Golf Course, Rock Creek Park Golf and East Potomac Golf Links. However, the Trump administration believes NLT breached the terms of its lease because enough progress hasn’t made with the restorations.

B&B POV: Surely, there is more to this story than what is being reported. One thing we do know: President Trump’s golf business is booming, and he already owns/manages some of the best courses in the world. We hope that now that he has the keys to D.C.’s municipal courses, he can elevate the quality of the facilities while also lowering the cost to locals who want to play them. That’s a tall order.
