Tom Kim gets the engine back on track with a Scottish Open victory
Per The Associated Press/PGA TOUR: “Tom Kim played bogey-free during a tight race to the finish Sunday and closed with a 6-under 64 for a two-shot victory in the Scottish Open, his first PGA Tour title since the fall of 2023…”
B&B POV: Cherubic Tom Kim ended a 1,001-day drought by winning the foggish Scottish Open. His absurd bogey-free 4th round and long-iron shots under pressure were too much for the stacked field to keep pace. Tom is one of the more likable gents on the PGA TOUR. This is a great win for Kim and for his fans, who have always included the B&B team.

Padraig Harrington rolls to third U.S. Senior Open title, tying record
Per Brentley Romine / Golf Channel: “Padraig Harrington cruised into the history books Sunday in Columbus, Ohio.
Harrington used back-to-back 4-under 66s on the weekend at Scioto Country Club to win the U.S. Senior Open by four shots and become just the second player to claim the senior national championship three times…”
B&B POV: Stewart Cink is a terrific golfer and a major champion, but at the U.S. Senior Open he might want to apply for caddie duties. Padraig Harrington cruised to a record-tying third title, making Cink his personal perennial runner-up. At this rate, Stewart knows every inch of Padraig’s victory lane.

Haeran Ryu beats Brooke Henderson in playoff at Evian for second major win
Per Beth Ann Nichols / Golfweek: “One day after Haeran Ryu recorded the lowest round in major championship history, an 11-under 60, she was clutch when it counted most at the Amundi Evian. After nearly going all Sunday without a birdie, Ryu made her first on the par-5 18th in regulation and then did it again on the first playoff hole to defeat a hard-charging, relentless Brooke Henderson…”
B&B POV: Sunday, Haeran Ryu captured her second straight major, edging Brooke Henderson in a playoff at the Amundi Evian Championship after a record-setting week. Nelly Korda and Ryu might need an arm-wrestling match to decide who claims the fifth and final LPGA major of the season, after each has won two of the four played so far in 2026.

Winners, Losers & Payouts: Tom Kim is back, baby! And the Scottish Open once again didn’t disappoint
Per Thomas Hamden / Balls & Bogeys:
For 1,001 days, Tom Kim carried around a statistic no professional golfer wants attached to his name. Winless. Not washed. Not forgotten. Just winless. That’s an important distinction.
Golf has a funny way of convincing us that if a young star doesn’t win every season, something must be wrong. Three years ago, Kim looked like the future of the PGA TOUR. Four victories before turning 25 seemed less like a possibility and more like an inevitability. Coming off his 2023 Shriners victory, Kim was trending to be the next young superstar on the PGA TOUR…

Tom Kim’s Winning WITB: The Precision Setup That Ended a 1,001-Day Drought
| Per Thomas Hamden / Balls & Bogeys: Sometimes a winning golf bag is filled with the latest prototypes. Sometimes it’s packed with brand-new technology. And sometimes it’s simply filled with confidence. For 1,001 days, Titleist ambassador Tom Kim searched for another PGA TOUR victory. Injuries slowed his momentum, confidence wavered, and golf fans began wondering when one of the game’s brightest young stars would find his way back to the winner’s circle. Or worse yet, would he ever win again or sadly, just flame out. He answered that question in spectacular fashion yesterday, winning the Genesis Scottish Open. How Does a Golf Handicap Work? One Golfer’s Journey to Finally Understanding It
Per Chris Lohman / Balls & Bogeys: “If you had asked me about my golf handicap when I started playing in tourneys as a kid, I probably would’ve given you the same answer most golfers did back then.
“It means how many strokes over par I usually shoot.” It wasn’t exactly right, but in the early 1980s, it was a pretty common way to think about handicaps.
When I started playing competitive golf in 1982, the handicap system looked very different than it does today. The formulas have changed. The calculations have become smarter. Technology has made everything faster; back in the 80s, there were certainly no push notifications with GHIN updates.
But one thing hasn’t changed at all…”
