Rory McIlroy fires back at Kevin Kisner after ‘dogs—‘ comment about growing the game

Per Mark Harris / Outkick Sports: “Four-time PGA Tour winner Kevin Kisner accused Rory McIlroy of not exactly being genuine about growing the game of golf while teeing it up in India on the DP World Tour. Now, McIlroy has issued a rebuttal to Kisner’s harsh accusations.”

B&B POV: We agree with Rory here. There is nothing wrong with taking an appearance fee to play in a DP World Tour-sanctioned event in India, while also hoping his appearance drives interest in the game. If you disagree, just turn on the TV and watch celebrities promote products. There is no question that kids at a driving range in India today dreamed of playing golf with Rory.

Rahm sacrifices £75m to secure exit from LIV Golf

Per Emily Salley, BBC Sport journalist and Laura Scott, Sports News Correspondent: “Jon Rahm will give up a reported £75m owed to him by LIV Golf after reaching a separation agreement that will secure his exit from the league. The league filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the United States in September after Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund withdrew its multibillion-dollar backing.”

B&B POV: By the end of the month, we will know if LIV has officially croaked. What we do know today is that Jon Rahm isn’t about to give it any more CPR.

Here’s a Rahmbo projection for you: He will tee it up in TGL this winter, and we are guessing he’ll join up with Rory and Lowry on the Boston Common team.

New Tiger Woods swing videos beg question: When will he return to pro golf?

Per Kevin Cunningham / GOLF: “One year ago this month, Tiger Woods underwent his latest back surgery, beginning a lengthy and difficult recovery process. A lot has happened in Tiger’s life since then, further delaying his return to pro golf.”

B&B POV: Tiger’s swing looked solid, and he came across as happy, healthy, and, most importantly, clear-eyed and lucid. If his goal is to tee it up in the ’27 Masters, he should play a couple of PGA TOUR Champions events in the spring leading up to his trip to Augusta, including the Hoag SENIOR PLAYERS Championship in Newport Beach, played on a flat course he knows well.

Known for his 5-hour range sessions, Singh, at 63, became the second-oldest Champions Tour winner ever.
