Tommy Fleetwood wins DP India World Championship for his son Frankie

Now Tommy Fleetwood can’t stop winning. This time he did so in India to make his son’s dream come true

– by Evin Priest / Golf Digest

Per Evin: “Tommy Fleetwood had only recently broken through for a long-awaited maiden PGA Tour win at the season-ending Tour Championship when his son, Frankie, set him a new challenge…”

B&B POV: With his latest triumph in India, Fleetwood’s momentum—and flowing locks—are looking strong. He’s had arguably the 3rd best professional season of the year, especially when you take into consideration how he bossed at the Ryder Cup for the winning Euro side. As Fleetwood continues to pursue excellence, one thing is becoming clearer—he very well may be the best player on the planet who has not won a major, and we are only 6-months away from Azalea season. Look out world, Tommy Boy may be next man up.

Good Good to title sponsor PGA Tour’s return to Austin

– by Brentley Romine / NBC Sports Golf

Per Brentley: “One of golf’s top influencer brands is sponsoring the PGA Tour’s return to Austin, Texas…”

B&B POV: Good Good Golf, aka the Dude Perfect dudes of Golf, announced this AM that they are going to be the title sponsor of a PGA TOUR event taking place during the Fall Season in ’26. The event, which will take place just outside of Austin Nov. 12-15, will rack up YouTube views and re-tweets, and hopefully have a decent field of pros and not just creators/influencers/Paige/dudes.

Another twist in the Tiger Woods’ tale, but this must surely be the end, right?

– by Nick Rodger / Golfweek

Per Nick: “It’s gotten to a point now where a statement from the Tiger Woods camp should come with an eco-friendly certificate It gets rehashed again and again, after all, and features the recurring theme of an update about surgery on his back…”

B&B POV: When Apple or Netflix makes Tiger’s biopic someday, it’s going to look a little like The Natural and a lot like ER. Tiger should not try a comeback until he can prove he can stay mostly healthy. We mostly feel like that time will come in 2027, and his comeback this time will be tied to Senior Tour major championships, the Masters, and the tourneys he owns – the Genesis Invitational and Hero World Championship.

Justin Leonard buries eagle on final hole to win Dominion Energy Charity Classic

– by Cameron Jourdan / Golfweek

Per Cameron: “Justin Leonard chose a good time to get his fifth eagle of the season…”

B&B POV: Justin Leonard, 53, won his second senior circuit title yesterday. Congrats. Watching him sink a final hole snake, which propelled him to victory, inspired an idea. A smart one, we think. Leonard, who won the 1997 British Open at Royal Troon in Scotland, should captain the US Ryder Cup team when they compete next at Adare Manor in Ireland in 2027. He played in three Ryder Cups, was part of two winning teams, and made arguably the greatest putt in the event’s history in 1999 at Brookline to secure that year’s victory. Captain Leonard anyone?

Lynch: Brian Rolapp’s PGA Tour vision could clash with investors, and the Saudis are waiting

– by Eamon Lynch / Golfweek

Per Eamon: “The executive changes unveiled Friday by PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp will please both the DOGE devotees who drool over efficiencies at headquarters and the X-dwelling numpties who drool over their keyboards any time a well-compensated suit heads for the exit in Ponte Vedra…”

B&B POV: The PGA TOUR’s new NFL-educated CEO, Brian Rolapp, by default is one of the most influential sports executives in the world. How he steers the stalwart US tour will directly influence how LIV will evolve, and potentially become somewhat relevant in the near term. That’s a lot of pressure if he wants to positively impact the game of golf; but if his gambit proves wrong, the PGA TOUR may end up taking a step back from world golf domination to the benefit to PIF and Yasir the Great.
