Scottie Scheffler finishes Ryder Cup prep by joining Tiger with rare feat in Procore win
– by Josh Schrock / GOLF
Per Josh: “World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler spent the early week in Napa, Calif., at the Procore Championship getting in as much Ryder Cup prep — both on and off the course — as possible before the showdown with Team Europe at Bethpage Black in two weeks…”
B&B POV: The past four days, all Scheffler wanted to do was stay sharp for the Ryder Cup, which was takes place in two weeks. Instead, he went out and won the Procure, a 2nd tier PGA Tour event that also happened to have 10 of his US squad teammates playing in the field. Those boys all made the cut, but just like in the regular season, no one could keep pace with World #1.
Hull takes advantage of Thitikul’s final-hole meltdown to win Kroger Queen City title
– AP News
Per The AP: “Charley Hull took advantage of top-ranked Jeeno Thitikul’s final-hole putting meltdown Sunday to win the Kroger Queen City Championship.
Thitikul — a stroke ahead after Hull bogeyed the par-4 17th — four-putted the par-5 18th from about 50 feet, missing a 5-footer and a 3-foot comebacker. Hull two-putted from about 30 feet, making a 2-footer for the victory…”
B&B POV: Our favorite LPGA star, Charley Hull, is officially on a mini-heater. Yesterday she won the Kroger. The week prior at the AIG, she finished T-2.
She’s jumped all the way up to 5th in the world rankings, and continues to live #1 in our hearts. Charley is as physically gifted as any woman playing golf on the planet today. If she can stay healthy, she has the game to turn her mini-heater into a raging fire of success.

– by Thomas Hamden / Balls & Bogeys
Per Thomas: “Winners win. And that’s what winners do!” said TaylorMade’s ambassador program lead after watching their boy Scottie Scheffler rack up win #6 on tour this year at the Procure in Nor Cal. (NOTE: We have no idea what TaylorMade said. But we do know they continue to be happy with how well their star ambassador is playing with their equipment.)
Winners, Losers & Payouts from the 2025 Procore Championship
– by Thomas Hamden / Balls & Bogeys
Per Thomas: News Flash: Scottie Scheffler is the best golfer in the world, and easily the best golfer on the PGA TOUR. He won the Procure yesterday—he pocketed $1,090,000 and lifted another trophy destined for the attic—and looked almost bored doing so. He was even battling one of his Ryder Cup teammates, Ben Griffin, all day, including down the stretch. For Scheff, no sweat…
European Ryder Cup team flies to Bethpage for a two-day reconnaissance trip
– by Adam Schupak / Golfweek
Per Adam: “The teams are set, the golf course is undergoing its finally preparations, and the calendar has flipped to the month of September meaning only a few weeks remain before the 2025 Ryder Cup commences at Bethpage Black. Slated for Sept. 26-28, the biennial event between the United States and Europe is expected to be a highly competitive contest as each team brings its own strengths (and weaknesses) to Long Island, New York…”
B&B POV: The Euros will be bouncing around New York today and tomorrow. Playing some golf. Drinking some wine. Dreaming of draining snakes and breaking US squad hearts in two-weeks at Bethpage Black. Just imagine how much money would be raised if they were to auction off a spot on this bucket list scouting trip.
