Horschel wins Memorial, eazy peazy 4-stroke victory

Billy Horschel won the Memorial this weekend and looked every bit the part of a player who should make our Draft Kings lineup for the US Open in two weeks.

Playing Muirfield, in front of Jack and a shi’ ton of Ohioans, he was stoic. Drove it well. Hit slight fade-lasers from the greens they called fairways. Made putts when he needed to. His course management was spot on. Honestly, the golf on TV was boring. But for Billy, boring worked. And he and his beautiful family pocketed a cool $2.16M pre-tax.

He now has seven tour victories, three in the last 16 mos., including a WGC Match Play event and now the Memorial. If he doesn’t make the Presidents Cup team this fall, he never will. So let’s lock-in Billy today and let him enjoy some limelight. He’s earned it.
