The video lesson featured below from Titleist staffer Joe Hallett is great for golfers who need to cut down on three-putts. We’ve added a few tips of our own to help you make fewer three putts, which will guarantee that you will start writing lower scores on the card.
- Work on controlling your follow-through to help with distance control
- Stop squeezing the life out of your putter grip
- Pay attention to the speed of the putts your playing partners take
- Don’t try and make long putts — work on leaving yourself with an uphill 2nd putt
- Hold your finish, then look up to see where the putt is rolling
- Practice. Practice. Practice.
Watch. Practice. Compete!
