Bomber Cam Young shares his tips to hit consistently solid rippers off the tee

Yesterday, on the final hole of the Players Championship, Cameron Young stepped up and hit the best tee shot of his life, which also happened to be the best tee shot hit in tourney conditions at TPC Sawgrass on 18 in 23 years. 375 beautiful yards down the fairway with OB right and water all of the way down the left.

In the video below, Young talks through his key swing thoughts and setup for hitting a variety of driver shots when it matters most.

  • Tee it higher to fly it farther.
  • Balanced feet to maintain stability.
  • Tee it lower to hit it lower. When control is key.
  • To hit a fade: Grip it tighter to help hold the face open.
  • Stay commited to your target.

Watch the video. Practice at the range. And then take your new driver feels and techniques out to the course and start driving the ball more consistently.
