Grant Horvat knows what good tempo looks like and feels like

Not all YouTube golfers can golf their ball. But Grant Horvat can. And his swing is one of the smoothest you’ll find online or at a public range anywhere in the world.

In the video below, he shares a tempo drill and his swing thoughts that help him maintain a smooth swing and great tempo throughout his backswing and through-swing.

Pure is pure. And Grant is pure.

Watch the video below and practice Grant’s drill on the range. At the very least, you’ll watch a few minutes of Grant hitting drivers, which will only help you visualize a smoother tempo the next time you tee it up on the course.

Three additional tips from us:

  • Maintain a lighter group and “softer” forearms
  • A smooth takeaway will help set you up for a groovy swing
  • Focus on swinging 80%, not 100%. The ball will still fly off the club, and likely straighter than if you just grip and rip
