This is why we love Charley Hull’s golf swing

By now, you should know that we’re huge fans of Charley Hull. She’s featured quite a bit on B&B, and deserves to be for all the right reasons.

The English golf star plays with a swagger. She hits rippers and loves a dart (also 2-hour workout sessions) every now and then. And she plays the game the way we believe it should be played: with passion and without fear. She’s the modern-day Gripper & Ripper.

In summary, here’s what we love about her swing, one of the best on any tour in the world.

  1. She maintains tremendous balance throughout her swing.
  2. She’s accelerating through impact. The ball is the target, but her swing doesn’t end until she’s posing for photos with her weight on her front foot.
  3. Her head stays relatively quiet throughout her swing.
  4. Due in part to her ball position (neutral) and hand position (pressed forward), she compresses the ball with her irons at impact, and takes just the right amount of divot.
  5. She holds her finish. Not just for Instagram shots. No, she holds it as a reminder to finish her swing with 90-95% of her weight on her front foot.

We’re expecting Charley to have the kind of breakout year in 2026 that will catapult her into serious contention for LPGA Player of the Year consideration.
