PAYDAY! 2023 Genesis Invitational Prize Money Payout

Rahm earned his 10th tour victory Sunday and pocketed $3.6M for his troubles. So far in the 22/23 wrap-around season, Rahm has played in 6 PGA TOUR events, won 3, and hasn’t finished outside of the Top 10 in any. He’s made nearly $10M. Umm, good job.

At the Genesis, with its newly sanctioned elevated status and biggest purse ever (like the WM last week), 4 golfers took home at least $1M, including Max Homa, who played mostly amazing golf all week, finished in 2nd and pocketed $2.2M.

Now that the PGA Tour has established a series of events with bigger purses, they can finally compete with LIV.

At the Genesis, with its newly sanctioned elevated status and biggest purse ever (similar dynamic as the WM last week), 4 golfers took home at least $1M, including Max Homa, who played (mostly) amazing golf all week, finishing 2nd and pocketing $2.2M.

Now that the PGA Tour has established a series of events with bigger purses, they can finally compete with LIV.

Like LIV events, the Genesis featured tourney host and GOAT Tiger “Mo Fo” Woods, tens of thousands of fans roaming the grounds, millions watching all four days on the Golf Channel and CBS, and was played on “The” Riviera, a US top-20 course with more history in its 18 holes and clubhouse than what I studied all through HS.

It’s a good thing the PGA Tour stepped up or this event would have been just blah. Not.
