Keegan Bradley may have been the last man to qualify for the BMW, but he walked away with a boatload of cash after finishing the week in 1st. Standing alongside his dad and family on the 18th at Castle Pines, he lifted a glorious Big-A Trophy and wiped away what was left of the chip that had been attached to his shoulder since last fall after being snubbed by Zach and the gang.
This PGA Tour victory for Keegan—lucky #7—had to have been his sweetest yet. Along with the trophy, he pocketed a cool $3.6M. Had handsome Adam Scott putted at least as good as a 2-handicapper on Sunday, he would have won the big prize instead of steady Keegan.
Alternatively, he and two of his buddies, Sam Burns and Ludvig Aberg, each took home $1,503,333. Two more 5-foot makes would have earned Scott an additional $2M. Ouch. The good news for both Bradley and Scott is they earned more than enough FedEx Cup points to make it into the field at East Lake, where the $25M top prize will be up for grabs this week.
Big Movers on Sunday:
- Sam Burns fired a 7-under 65 on Sunday, the best round of the day. He leapt over a bunch of guys and took home $1.5M and enough FedEx points to vault from 18th to 9th place by EOD Sunday.
- Hometown hero Wyndham Clark was sitting in 5th place Sunday morning before the final round kicked-off. Come Sunday evening, he had shot one of the worst scores of the day, 2-over 74, and fell all the way to T-13. With his collapse, he also fell two spots in the FedEx Cup points race. Not a good day.
- Justin Thomas did not have a good week at Castle Pines by any measure, but he did have a solid Sunday, coming in at 4-under 68. He earned just enough FedEx Cup points to finish in 30th place for the season, which earned him the final spot in the field at East Lake this week.
