Grayson Murray was victorious at Waialae CC this weekend. In addition to a wonderful Big-A Trophy, he also flew home to the continental US with $1.7M and punched his ticket into two majors (PGA Champ and the MASTERS!!!), The Players, and the full slate of remaining Signature events this season. Let’s just say his schedule this year and his bank account will not look anything like what he was expecting last week compared to what it looks like today and into the future.
The $1.7M Grayson pocketed represents 26% of what he has made on tour since joining in 2017. He’s also made over $1M on the Korn Ferry Tour. Even with some professional and personal ups and downs, golf has treated him fairly nicely.
Keegan and Ben An lost in the playoff, which has to kill, especially considering that Murray sank a 40 ft. snake on the 1st playoff hole. Thank goodness they each pocketed $738,700 or they would have never been able to live with themselves ever again.
