PAYDAY! 2024 Wyndham Championship prize money payouts for every lucky soul who made the cut

Sure, winning money this past weekend at the Wyndham was important to every player (and caddy), but the real objective was finishing as high as possible to accumulate FedEx Cup points to ensure making the playoffs. Those who finished in the top 70 in points through yesterday’s event made it into the FedEx St. Jude Championship which will be played this week. The top 50 in points after this week will make it into next week’s BMW Championship. And, the top 30 after the BMW qualify for the Tour Championship and the riches that come along with that distinction.

For his victory yesterday, Aaron Rai did bank $1.4M, but more importantly, he earned 500 FedEx points, which gave him a huge boost in his pursuit of making the Tour Championship. He’s now sitting 25th in points. If he has two average weeks coming up, he should make it in.

Big movers yesterday…

  1. JJ Spaun leapt up the scoreboard with a bogey-free final round 64, finished T-3, and earned nearly $500k and enough points to ensure he’ll keep his tour card for 2025.
  2. Joel Dahmen’s 5-over par weekend cost him much needed FedEx Cup points. He’ll now need to tee it up in the PGA Tour Fall Series to keep his card in 2025. If he plays poorly in the fall, he’ll have to rely on sponsor exemptions next season with the hope of regaining full-time status through strong play.
  3. Max Greyserman’s quad on the back nine on Sunday derailed his chance of victory. A victory would have earned him a spot in next year’s Masters. A priceless experience. One that he can still earn. He definitely threw away a surefire pass to Augusta with his OB tee shot on 14 and the short misses on 16. Ouch.
