PAYDAY! 2025 Sony Open Prize Money Payouts

Nick Taylor got leid on the 18th green Sunday after his playoff victory. He was also handed one of those big fake checks with $1.56M printed on it, recognizing his performance. He earned every penny after sweating it out during his 2-hole sudden-death playoff with Nico. Both gents played hard, but in the end, Taylor won out. Congrats to Nick. Congrats to Nico as well, who pocketed nearly a million for his fine play. Golf pays. Really well.

Movers & Losers from Sunday at the Sony Open:

  1. Let’s start with Taylor who chipped in for eagle on 18 to earn his spot in the playoff. Every pro who’s been paid for a lesson has told his/her pupil that it pays to practice your short game. Nick proved it.
  2. Jackson Suber, a name we are not familiar with, moved up 14 spots on the leaderboard after shooting a Sunday best of 5-under 65. He finished up T6 and flew home with $283,838 minus taxes for his fine play. Suber…a name to keep an eye on.
  3. Coming off his victory and record play in the Sentry, Hideki fired four straight rounds in the 60’s, including a final round 66. He jumped 13 spots on the board and finished T16.
  4. Keith Mitchel jumped the most spots with a final round 65, and finished up a respectable T-30.
  5. Stats-wiz and Stanford grad Mav McNeally pooped the bed Sunday, dropping 34 spots after shooting a 3-over 73. Don’t feel sorry for Mav. He flew home private.
