Sunday in Phoenix: A better show than Super Bowl LVI?

Sunday at the WM Phoenix Open featured more than enough excitement and titillation to rile up even the most modest of golf fans.

A hair-raising hole-in-one on the 16th…check.

A 3-hole playoff with two of the biggest young studs on tour…check.

Koepka and his crazy Bieber haircut just missing out in his pursuit of victory…check. (Anytime Koepka loses is a win in our books.)

And for those rooting for the underdog, TOUR rookie and fan-favorite-for-the-week Sahith Theegala came within one ridiculously bad break on his tee-shot into the reachable par-4 17th from probably making the playoff. (Sorry you lost ST, but you’re a big winner in our hearts)..check, check, check!

It was a great Sunday for sports. Even before the Super Bowl tipped off.

Where was Ice Cube? Next time, less Eminem and more NWA. Just saying…
