The 2025 American Express Winners & Losers

What a week for Sepp Straka in the desert!

The Austrian snagged his third PGA Tour win on Sunday, holding off Justin Thomas by two shots to take home the 2025 American Express title. Sepp’s reward? A cool $1.584 million. As for JT, he left the desert with his own bag of cash, and he’s now in the exclusive club of golfers who’ve earned over $60 million in their careers. No biggie, just a casual milestone.

Sunday’s Movers & Losers:

  1. Mr. Spidey, Camilo Villegas, leapt up the leaderboard Sunday, firing a final round 6-under 66. He jumped 16 spots on the board and took home a nice $267k.
  2. Ben Kohles made the biggest jump (37 spots!) after firing his own 66 Sunday at PGA West Stadium Course. That’s finishing up in style.
  3. Both Billy Horshel (72) and Daniel Berger (73) played their worse golf of the week yesterday, finishing up T-21.
  4. Joe Highsmith (who’s that?) closed with the worst score of the day on the leaderboard, 4-over 76. How big of a hit did his eager and position in the tourney take? He fell 37 spots and landed T-66.

Here’s a quick rundown of how much cash each player made at the 2025 American Express. Spoiler alert: it’s a lot!
