The 2025 RBC Heritage Payouts: Winners & Losers

JT was already a member of the PGA TOUR Richy Rich Club before his victory yesterday, but after collecting $3.6M and a nice plaid blazer for his efforts, he’s now amassed $66,626,027 in career earnings. Yesterday, he leapt past buddies Jason Day and Jordan Spieth on the all-time earnings list to land in 10th place.

Thomas nailed a long birdie putt on the first playoff hole Sunday to take down Andrew Novak (pocketed $2.2M for his great play) and claim victory at the RBC Heritage, a PGA Tour Signature Event with a whopping $20 million purse. That’s just shy of the Masters, and more than enough to make kids and overbearing parents start Googling “how to swing a golf club like a boss.”

The win didn’t just break a dry spell—it broke the bank.

It was his first win since the 2022 PGA Championship, and it didn’t come easy. Thomas has been flirting with victory for a while now—six top-10 finishes last season and two runner-up finishes this year alone. He’s basically been golf’s best man for two years straight.

Despite the near-misses, he’s been rock-solid this season: 10 starts, zero missed cuts, and a modest T36 at Augusta last week. But in Hilton Head, he flipped the switch. He tied the course record with a 61 on Thursday, grabbed his first 36-hole lead in nearly four years, and never looked back—except maybe once, just to make sure Novak really missed that 8-footer in regulation.

So, after a bogey-free 68 and a clutch playoff performance, JT is back on top—richer, relieved, and probably changing out diapers today—or at least he should be. Daddy duty after a big win should always be priority #1.

Let’s check how much everyone else earned this week (and how many yachts that could buy) in scenic Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Winners & Losers from Sunday at the RBC Heritage:

  1. Winner: JT. Ok, this is an easy selection, but he hasn’t won in nearly 3-years which makes his performance yesterday over 19 holes all that more impressive.
  2. Winner: Daniel Berger. Berger, who as recently as 2021 competed for the US in the Ryder Cup, is quietly putting together a stellar 2025 season and has jumped up the Ryder Cup rankings. His six-under 65 yesterday tied for the 2nd best score of the day and led to Berger jumping 13 spots on the leaderboard to land in T-3. He banked $960k along with Mackenzie Hughes, Brian Harman, and Mav McNealy for his efforts.
  3. Loser: Si Woo Kim. Kim played some of his best golf of the season Thurs-Saturday, but couldn’t find his groove on Sunday playing in the leader group. After firing a 3-over 74, he fell seven spots down the board finishing up T-8. At least he still posted a Top 10 finish.
  4. Loser: Matt Fitzpatrick. Like Kim, he posted a 3-over par round on Sunday. But unlike Kim, the one-time US Open Champion’s game continues to trend in the wrong direction. He fell 25 spots on the board Sunday to finish up a pedestrian T-38.
  5. Winner: Bud “Buddy” Cauley. He shot the round of the day Sunday, a 7-under-par 74. He jumped from 64th place to 32nd, finishing up 7-under for the tourney.
