Soft-spoken Retief Goosen won the PGA TOUR Champions Galleri Classic this weekend at Mission Hils in Rancho Mirage, CA.
Seasoned vet Retief shares a simple tip to improve your chipping in this 13-year-old video we found in YouTube’s golf lesson vault.
We’ve added a few additional B&B recommendations below:
- Rotate your body. Keep everything still when you putt, but when you chip, your weight should slightly shift back and through and your chest should move toward the target through impact.
- Choke down slightly on the club and move closer to the ball. This will help you make better contact.
- Put the ball further back in your stance than where your hands naturally fall. Trust us.
Watch the video. Practice on the chipping green. And take what you’ve grooved out on the course.
