Tiger or Phil? Who’ll be the 1st to tee it up again on Tour, and where?

It’s been a crazy few weeks for professional golf to say the least.

Mickelson has managed to alienate himself from the Tour to such a degree that he’s losing sponsors, fans, and arguably his most valuable personal asset, his legacy as the best professional golfer of his generation. (You made your bed Phil with your ‘off the record’ on-the-record self-inflicted Shipnuck interview – CLICK TO READ.)

Phil has decided to take a much-needed break from Tour life. To self-reflect. And to let the noise surrounding his love affair with the Saudis and his disdain for the PGA TOUR business model settle down. Maybe even fix his wayward game along the way.

Then there’s Tiger. We saw the interviews this past week where he discussed his rehab and desire to return to action (CLICK TO VIEW).

As antsy as we are to see him back out there revving up fans and making a deeper run at golf immortality, imagine how difficult it must be for the GOAT to only be watching the action, whether in person at the Genesis or at home in front of his 130′. The playing-for-big-trophies-inaction has to be brutal for El Tigre. He just passed the one-year anniversary of his crash.

So we wonder — between the two mega-stars, who’ll return to the Tour first and where will they tee it up? One thing is for sure: When these guys do return, every press pass on-site will be walking inside-the-ropes to see how they handle the pressure. And like millions of other diehards/blowhards, we’ll be watching every minute of the action on our 55′.
