What’s in the Bag (WITB): Scottie Scheffler, 2025 Edition

This past winning week, Scottie Scheffler’s golf bag featured a blend of TaylorMade, Titleist, and Srixon equipment.

Here’s a high-level breakdown of his gear:

Today, only Rory might drive it better than Scheffler—and even that’s debatable. Scottie’s weapon of choice? A TaylorMade Qi10 (8° tweaked to 8.25°) with a Fujikura Ventus Black 7X shaft, measuring a beastly 45 inches. Most mere mortals need more loft, more flex, and an inch less shaft—but this magic wand does the trick for Scheff.

He switched to the Qi10 in early 2024, picking it over the LS version for its perfect blend of distance and forgiveness. And when he swings it, the ball obeys.

Like many pros, Scheffler rocks a utility iron setup, leaning on the Srixon Z U85 for his 3 and 4 irons. Whether he needs to hit a low stinger or a high softie, he delivers highlight-reel shotmaking—sharp as ever and laser-focused like it’s 1997 and his name’s Eldrick.

His irons? Tiger’s own TaylorMade P7TW (5-PW). When he was healthy, they worked for the GOAT. They work for the current World #1 just fine, too.

As for wedges, Scheffler could’ve cashed in with TaylorMade—but he’s staying loyal to his Vokeys for their feel and spin. He left millions on the table, but his short game says it’s worth it. Interestingly, he plays with a TaylorMade pitching wedge, a Vokey SM8 model (2020) gap wedge, and SM9 model (2022) sand and lob wedges. How much testing did he do to land on this setup? And when, if ever, will he put Titleist’s newest Vokey model wedges, SM10, into his bag?

Putter-wise, he’s rolling with the TaylorMade Spider Tour X L-Neck. He putts with two grips, one putter, and one result: wins. When he putts well, only Rory or Bryson has a shot at keeping up.

He rounds out his bag with the Titleist Pro V1 balls—a favorite of both weekend hackers and world-beaters. For Scheff, it’s all part of a gear setup that mixes business deals with what actually works.
