Why is Rory the best golfer in the world?

Because more so than any other golfer in the world, he’s EARNED IT!

Because he played awesome golf in a stacked field in last week’s CJ Cup — a repeat victory for the 33-year-old superstar.

Because since June 6th, he’s only shot a single over-par round on Tour. One. Out of 30.

During that span, he’s posted a score in the 60’s 80% of the time, won three tournaments, and has absolutely blistered his tee shots, dialed in his wedges, and made copious putts.

Smooth operator…

Big, juicy, nervy putts. (Except for the last day at the Open Championship; not even Rory is perfect.)

Are you shitting me with that width and turn?

If you haven’t heard, he’s unquestionably the best driver of the ball on Tour. What does that mean? Let the stats do the talking…

PGA TOUR STATS (2021-2022 SEASON)

SCORING AVERAGE – 1st (68.67)
DRIVING DISTANCE – 2nd (321.3 yards !!!)
SG. TEE-TO-GREEN – 2nd
SG. OFF-THE-TEE – 3rd

With little fear, he winds up his 5’10”, 160-pound frame and lets it rip. Instead of hitting a bunch of 6-8 irons into tucked pins, he’s picking apart those same pins with his wedges.

But most importantly, he isn’t afraid to lose. Think about that statement for a second.

He loses a lot — in the biggest tournaments, always playing in the Featured Group, with the cameras on and with millions of fans glued to every swing and putt he takes. He’s an amazing loser. Like his buddy Greg Norman, only with more Majors and dignity.

It’s ok Rory. Just keep grinding.

Glorious, spotlighted losing is what happens when over your entire PGA Tour career 48% of the time you finish in the Top 10. CRAZY CONSISTENCY!

We’re glad to see Rory back in the top spot. And I don’t care what anyone else has to say about OWGR points and LIV and DJ and Cameron Smith and whoever else they feel should be in that spot. Rory is deserving of his #1 position and will be sitting there well into the 2023 calendar year and beyond.

LET’S GOOOOOO RORY!!!!

Sweet, sweet victory!
