WITB Presented by Golf Galaxy: Robert MacIntyre, 2024 RBC Canadian Open

Lefty Robert MacIntyre is a confirmed Titleist ambassador. Without even needing to confirm, we know that Titleist is ecstatic that MacIntyre, one of the unsung Euro stars of the ’23 Ryder Cup, won the Canadian Open in his inaugural season on the PGA TOUR.

MacIntyre’s Titleist contract commits him to play with a Titleist driver, irons, wedges and ball. The rest of the bag is his to fill out with whatever brands he pleases. Let’s take a dive into his staff bag and see what his set-up includes.

Key Takeaways:

  1. His driver set-up is pretty straightforward: 9-degree TSR2. For a littler guy, he generates quite a bit of club head speed and is a top-half driver of the ball on tour.
  2. He’s the first tour winner in over 2 years who isn’t a full-time Cobra staff member to play with a Cobra fairway metal. Cobra Aerojet 3-wood set at 14.5 degrees. Interesting. To put faith in a Cobra versus a TaylorMade SIM2 or even a Titleist 3-wood is interesting.
  3. He plays with a TaylorMade 3-hybrid – Stealth 2 – instead of a driving iron or 4-5 wood.
  4. Vokey wedges, but of course. But with black Onyx TT Dynamic Gold shafts. Super cool. We love the less-glare approach of the black wedge shafts.
  5. If you haven’t tried a TaylorMade Spider putter yet, you should. Because the model mints money on professional tours around the world. All day, every day.
