WITB Winner’s Bag: Kurt Kitayama, 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational

Our WITB feature is happy to see a new guy win an event on Tour. This week weren’t forced to repurpose one of Rory’s, Rahmbo’s or Scheff’s previous equipment posts. Thank you Kurt!

Our two biggest takeaways from Kurt’s winning set-up:

1. Kitayama hasn’t put into play the new Stealth 2 driver that 95% of his Tour peers have. Maybe if he had, he wouldn’t have jacked two OB’s under pressure on the weekend. Time to get back to testing.

2. If you were watching the event at the end and don’t know what model of ball Kurt plays, you were fiddling away at something and didn’t see his 2nd-to-last putt hang on the lip. TP5X. The big money putt should have fallen, but we’re guessing some marketeers at TM were plenty fine with that ball just hanging there.
