When it comes to their gear set up, Zurich winning teammates Nick Hardy and Davis Riley are on both sides of the “here’s how you can do it!” spectrum.
Hardy is an equipment free agent, likely with limited endorsement options to go with any one manufacturer. He’s also got limited Tour status. He can’t risk going all in on a club deal and making a bad choice just for the quick cash.
Riley on the other hand is a purebred, next-generation star on Tour and has a full-bag and ball deal with Titleist.
We feel both have made the right equipment decision. It would be hard to argue otherwise considering their shoulders are probably still sore from lifting B-A Trophies yesterday for the first time on Tour. Good for them.
Notes:
- Both play Vokey SM9 wedges — because they should!
- Nick teed it up with a driving iron last week; Davis put a 5-wood in his bag
- Nick played with a ProV1x, Davis a ProV1 ball
