Nick Taylor is a Titleist man. From driver to ball, the fancy Titleist font dons most of everything the diminutive Canadian pro swings or putts during a round of golf. Most.
More telling is what isn’t stamped Titleist in his bag, notably his 5-wood and putter. Nick’s SIM2 5-wood has shown up in a number of winning bags this season. More times than not in bags of pros who aren’t payed to play TaylorMade clubs. And, when was the last time you saw a Titleist man not playing with a Scotty Cameron putter? Instead, Nick rolls a T-Made Spider Tour in Red, a putter that went to market 7+ years ago. It was a good choice this week. A WORLD CLASS CHOICE.
A couple of other notes:
- He’s not playing with a current model Titleist driver, 3-wood and Vokey wedges. Hmmm…
- His iron shafts are Dynamic Gold S400, the same flex my 65 yr old father uses. Nick obviously plays with something softer than most of the guys on Tour do (both the PGA Tour and PGA Champions) for more feel and spin.
