As far as bag set-ups go, Sam Burns’ is pretty straightforward. A full bag of Callaways. (For those that don’t know Odyssey is owned by Callaway, so we give them credit).
We only have two callouts: 1/ He prefers the Triple Diamond shape for his Paradym driver. The smaller head compared to the other Paradym drivers in the line doesn’t feel as springy and the “ping” at impact is a bit more muted. 2/ He put a hybrid in his bag this week versus a 5 or 7-wood. Maybe he was expecting to hit out of the rough with his 2nd shots on the par fives and wanted a bit more forgiveness and workability. Whatever his reasons were, good call!
