Today’s latest on Phil’s beef with the TOUR and burgeoning romance with the Saudis is disturbing at best, and likely going to tarnish his legacy forever.

Why in the world would Mickelson ever go on record saying what he said. He comes across equal parts manic and maniacal. When reading the article, I couldn’t help but envision him during the interview, sitting back in his big-buttoned, leather chair, sipping his White Claw with a straw, world-class shit eating grin.
“They’re scary motherfuckers to get involved with,” Mickelson told Shipnuck. “We know they killed [Washington Post reporter and U.S. resident Jamal] Khashoggi and have a horrible record on human rights. They execute people over there for being gay. Knowing all of this, why would I even consider it? Because this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reshape how the PGA Tour operates.”

Mickelson further explained to Shipnuck that he has “20 players” lined up to jump to the Saudi endeavor. “If the tour doesn’t do the right thing, there is a high likelihood it’s going to happen,” Mickelson said.
This is only going to get crazier in the days ahead.
