Russell Henley chips-in for eagle to snag Arnold Palmer Invitational from Collin Morikawa
– by Adam Schupak / Golfweek
Per Adam: “Moments after making a nervy 4-foot par putt to win the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational on Sunday, Russell Henley’s three kids rushed on to the 18th green at Bay Hill Lodge & Club…”
B&B POV: Lil’ Bulldog Russell Henley channeled his inner Arnold Palmer swagger and delivered a late charge so clutch it might as well have come with an umbrella logo. He sealed the deal in style, chipping in for eagle on the 16th hole deflating Morikawa’s chances, rallying to a 2-under 70 on Sunday at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge for the biggest win of his career. Look out Ryder Cup, here comes Russell!

Trump-owned Turnberry course heavily vandalized by Palestinian group that claims responsibility
– by Tod Leonard / Golf Digest
Per Tod: “The renowned golf course and clubhouse at Scotland’s Turnberry Golf Club, home to four Open Championships, were severely vandalized overnight Friday by a Palestinian group that claimed responsibility. The resort has been owned by President Donald Trump since 2014…”
B&B POV: Vandalizing a golf course, especially one as hallowed as Turnberrry in Scotland, should be punishable by the pros at the course hitting stingers into the backsides of the perps. Politics aside, Turnberry is an historical golf treasure. Come on people, be better. This was petty and won’t change politics one bit.

The 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational Winners & Losers
– by Thomas Hamden / Balls & Bogeys
Per Thomas: If LIV has taught us anything, it’s win when the big money is on the line. Russell Henley is back in the winner’s circle—for the 5th time on tour—and he didn’t just win, he straight-up snatched the Arnold Palmer Invitational trophy out of Collin Morikawa’s hands.
Trailing late on Sunday, Henley pulled off the golf equivalent of a mic drop, holing out a ridiculous chip for eagle on the 16th to flip the script from one down to one up. Two clutch pars later, it was game over. Morikawa shot even par, but Henley played like a man who had a flight to catch—with a $4 million carry-on.

Sergio Garcia wins LIV Hong Kong; Phil Mickelson gets first top-3
– by Field Level Media / ESPN
Per Field Level Media: “Sergio Garcia carded a 7-under 63 to capture a double victory Sunday at LIV Golf Hong Kong, winning both the individual and team titles…”
B&B POV: Love them or hate them, Garcia and Mickelson played stellar golf this weekend in the LIV Hong Kong shotgun. Garcia won by 3 shots and took home $4M for his individual play and an additional $750k because his team won that side of the competition. Mickelson deposited $1.5M after landing on his first podium on the LIV circuit. Mark our words: Garcia will make the Ryder Cup team this fall and will get heckled like no other at Bethpage.
