Kevin Yu wins Sanderson Farms in playoff for first PGA Tour win

B&B POV: Kevin Yu spent the final round of the Sanderson Farms Championship doing his best stealth mode impression—always hanging around, just a shot or two back, while Keith Mitchell and Beau Hossler were too busy engaging in mano e mano.

Yu wasn’t exactly the headline for most of the day, but boy did he have a plot twist up his sleeve, winning in a playoff against Hossler. Both Mitchell and Hossler had their chances to taste sweet victory toward the end of regular play, but ~~choked~~ just missed out.

Yu now has his PGA Tour card locked in through 2026, while Hossler continues his quest for his elusive 1st tour victory; while Mitchell and his swag search for his elusive second title.

Tyrrell Hatton seals historic third Dunhill Links victory

Per the European Tour: “The Englishman started his love affair with the event when he claimed his first title in 2016 before successfully defending his crown 12 months later.

Two more runner-up finishes followed in 2018 and 2021 and he had to battle the elements on the Old Course on Sunday to ensure his place in history…”

B&B POV: Tyrrell Hatton, our favorite LIV player, must have a VIP pass to the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship because he’s officially turned it into his own personal highlight reel. The Englishman made history by becoming the first-ever three-time winner of the event, and judging by his record, you could say he and St. Andrews are in a bit of a long-term relationship. Saturday, he equaled St Andrews’ course record with a devilish 61. The current layout was born in 1764. Not a bad record to hold in your back pocket alongside the $800k check he earned with victory #3.

Answer: The pain in Robert MacIntyre’s arse and ego. “Blow it up,” MacIntyre said of St Andrew’s fabled 17th hole after Sunday’s final round.

MacIntyre may still hold the title of Scotland’s favorite golfing son, but after this week, it’s safe to say he’s not sending any love letters to the Old Course at St Andrews.
