PAYDAY! 2025 The Sentry Prize Money Payouts

The Sentry was the first of eight Signature events on the PGA TOUR this season. With no cut, everyone who teed it up in Maui lived like a king on a pseudo golfing vacation and flew home—or flew to O’ahu to tee it up in the Sony Open this week—with deep pockets full of newly earned US greenbacks.

The event featured a total purse of $20 million dollars. That’s a nice, fat number for the tour’s first tourney of the year. With a record-breaking score of 35 under for the week, Hideki earned every bit of his $3.6M pre-tax big fat winner’s check.

Sunday’s Movers & Losers from The Sentry

  1. Collin Morikawa couldn’t keep up with Hideki on Sunday, but he still finished three clear of 3rd and pocketed $2.16M for his stellar play. He loves himself some Plantation Course. One of these days he’ll actually lift the Big A trophy on the 18th green on Sunday afternoon.
  2. Jhonattan Vegas, one of Venezuela’s finest, closed with an 8-under 65 and leaped 11 places on the scoreboard, and came in solo 4th – good enough for a smidge under $1M.
  3. The Swedish Sensation by way of Texas Tech, Ludvig Aberg, fired the 2nd best score on Sunday, a 9-under beauty. His round helped him finish T-5 and pocket a cool $750k.
  4. Will Zalatoris took on a 2-stroke penalty when he and Cam Young hit each other’s balls late Sunday afternoon. He was one of only four players in the field of 58 who failed to break par on Sunday. Costly to say the least.
  5. Heading into Sunday’s round JT was not having a good tourney. But boy did he come to play yesterday, finishing up with a 10-under final round, the best score posted. He leaped 15 spots on the scoreboard, finishing T-26 with the aforementioned Zalatoris and Cobra’s new man, Max Homa. The threesome each took home $163k.
