Simple drills to help you hit your driver more consistently

Oftentimes the best golf drills are those in which you don’t have to think through, you just do.

Here are two drills you can practice using your headcover to help you with your driver swing path and follow-though. Thank you Titleist and Jonathan Yarwood for sharing!

And here is a video showing a drill that Rickie Fowler uses to keep his lead arm closer to his body during the takeaway to help him stay (feel) connected. Notice how the glove drops down as he follows through post impact.

Both sets of drills are great because, when done correctly, the player doesn’t have to think — they just have to do, which will help develop muscle memory and repetition on the course under pressure.

Practice these drills and see if your driving improves without overthinking the how and why.
