PAYDAY! 2023 World Wide Technology Championship Prize Money Payout

No one can argue that it doesn’t pay to play in the PGA TOUR fall series, even if a tour player has already secured their card for the 2024 season. Just ask Erik van Rooyen who not only won $1.4M for nuking Tiger’s course in Cabo (besting 130+ peers), but he also moved up the FedEx Cup points list and now sits in 63rd place with two fall tourneys remaining, in Bermuda this week and the RSM Classic in Georgia the week after.

Players who finish the fall in spots No. 51-60 gain entry into the first two elevated/signature events in ’24, the Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Genesis at Riv.

If you haven’t heard the news, those two tourneys feature Richy Rich purses, including a no-cut format at Pebble. Koooooch may not have won the tournament this weekend (T-2), but he did climb 14 spots in the standings to No. 52 and that should be good enough to clinch his golden ticket.

Those who finish No. 51 through 60 earn those two signature entries.

“Top 50 is a big deal, I was definitely bummed to miss that, but glad to be in a couple of these events to start the year,” he said. “I think that’s a big advantage. If you can play in any of these, you feel like there’s so many extra points, so much extra money, you get kind of a nice little head start there.”

We’re keeping our eyes wide open to see who fills those oh-so-important No. 51-60 spots to go along with 1-50 who’ve already secured their spots into every signature event in ’24.
