Robert MacIntyre claims first PGA Tour victory with father Dougie right beside him

B&B POV: With his dad Dougie on the bag, Scotland’s left-handed golf prodigy (now all grown up looking like the lead Hobbit) Bobby Mac finally lifted his first Big Ass PGA TOUR trophy Sunday after this victory in the Canadian Open. Even with “O’ Canada” playing through the speakers during the awards ceremony, traditional bagpipes had to be reverberating in Robert MacIntyre’s head thinking about all he accomplished and what’s in store ahead — a multi-year tour exemption, tee-times in Signature events, and his rightfully earned spot in the ’25 Masters.

Yuka Saso again! 22-year-old wins U.S. Women’s Open for 2nd time

Per Sean: “On a week where scores ballooned over par at the U.S. Women’s Open, it fittingly was won by one of the few players on Sunday who willed herself to a round in the 60s. Yuka Saso was the last one standing — her final round 68 good enough for a three-shot win and her second career U.S. Women’s Open title…”

B&B POV: Yuka Saso stood up to the brutally tough Lancaster Country Club (and the best field in women’s golf) and earned her 2nd US Open title this past week. She’s only 22. With the win, she jumped up 24 spots in the world rankings landing in 6th position.

Just how tough did Lancaster play last week? Only Yuka and fellow Japanese player Hinako Shibuno finished under par for the week. Nelly Korda fired a smooth 10 on the par-3 12th on Thursday, more-or-less extinguishing any chance of making the cut after winning six of her previous seven events. And superstar Minjee Lee shot 8-over Sunday and still finished top-10 for the week. If you love golf carnage then you love watching the US Open.

Certainly, he’s got a solid accountant (most, if not all professional golfers better) to navigate his current income scenario: He’s Scottish, plays on the PGA TOUR based in Florida, and just won a boatload of cheese in a tourney held in Canada. How many governments are getting a cut out of his oversized check?
