WITB Winner’s Bag: Nick Taylor, WM Phoenix Open

Nick Taylor is a Titleist man. And his slick gear was on full display at the WM last week. Like PING staffers, Nick’s equipment and ball set-up were primarily composed of his sponsor’s goods. For what it’s worth, our research has shown that pros repping TaylorMade, Callaway and Mizuno are more apt to drop in clubs from other manufacturers into their bags. At the WM, Nick had two brands in his bag: Titleist and TaylorMade.

1. It wouldn’t matter what driver Nick swung; he’d still rank toward the bottom of the tour in driving distance, where he currently sits in 136^th position. His driver of choice is the popular TSR3 driver from Titleist.
2. Nick carries 5-wood (18 degrees) and a hybrid (21 degrees). The lowest lofted iron in his bag is a 4-iron. He lets the tech do all the work with the hardest-to-hit clubs in his bag.
